Frequently Asked Questions and Answers (FAQ) – Health Professionals’ Portal
1. Who should use MY DAISY’s Health Professionals’ Portal?
MY DAISY’s Health Professionals’ Portal is designed to be used by health professionals during the treatment of their patients’ mental health problems. These are the benefits for health professionals using the system:
- A structured process that patients and health professionals can follow during the treatment period
- An Internet-based, integrated communication platform for all parties to use
- The ability to access a patient’s latest reports online
- Assurance of a patient’s commitment during the treatment period, as the patient cannot proceed past Step 1 of the 5 Step Plan without indicating commitment to the program
- Information related to their patient’s mental health problems and treatment followed
- Information about the patient’s prescribed medications, as well as any side-effects, and whether side-effects are manageable
- Tracking of a patient’s mental health condition and progress, through the MY DAISY Results Reports
- A mechanism for encouraging patients to consider their responses to the mental health related questions and identify issues for which they require help
- Assessment of whether patients are coping well and have their mental health issues under control
- Access to patients’ data for future reference
- Patients who are more knowledgeable about mental health treatment and who are better prepared for consultation sessions, resulting in time-saving during consultations.
2. What are the costs for using MY DAISY’s Health Professionals’ Portal?
The following fees are payable for health care service providers who wish to make use of the MY DAISY Health Professionals’ Portal:
- Administration fee: A one-off administration fee of AUD$1.10 (GST inclusive) will be charged at the time of user registration. Under the MY DAISY Terms of Use Agreement, this fee is non-refundable.
- Client/patient uploading fee: A one-off fee of AUD$13.75 (GST inclusive) is payable for each client/patient uploaded as part of a service provider’s client/patient list. This uploading process is explained in the Health Carer Information Sheet.
3. How are these costs paid?
When you register as a user you will be required to provide a current debit or credit card’s details (card number, person listed on the card, expiry date and CSV).
4. Will I receive a tax invoice for each transaction processed?
A “paid tax invoice” will be emailed to your registered email account after each successful transaction processed. This tax invoice can also be accessed and downloaded when you click on the “Update Account Details” button after you have logged on to the system.
5. Does the MY DAISY system keep track of my card’s expiry date?
Thirty days before your card expires the system will show a notification on your home page of the number of days left before your card expires. Please provide details for a new card by clicking on the “Update Account Details” button on the home page and follow the prompts.
6. Which types of cards are accepted?
The system will accept VISA and MasterCard debit and credit cards.
7. I am a health professional and want to use MY DAISY’s Health Professionals’ Portal. What steps should I follow?
It is important to have a thorough understanding of the MY DAISY process and system. To gain sufficient information it is recommended that you do the following:
- Step 1 Watch the MY DAISY Information video. As the purpose of this video is to provide general mental health information to patients/clients, it is important for you to understand what information is provided to them. This video also explains how the system works.

8. How much time will it take to work through all the required information and register as a user?
The more time spent preparing yourself to use the MY DAISY system, the more you will benefit. It is likely that you will need at least 1 hour.
